To those of you who follow this blog, you may have been wondering why there have been no updates or posts for quite a long time(over a year now in fact!). I thought now would be a good time to give you guys an update, as I plan to hopefully return to posting more regularly here in the near future as things begin to settle down for me.

First of all, thank you to those who reached out to me privately via email to ask if I was still alive, which I can thankfully confirm to be the case. 

New Addition To The Family

One of the biggest reasons for my absence from the blog was due to the fact i had my first child not so long ago. For those of you who have small children,i am sure you are well aware of how much time and dedication they require, which left me with very little free time to upload new posts on the blog. You would be surprised how much time goes into taking pictures, writing guides and editing and uploading the content that goes into a blog, it can take hours and hours of work to get a single post published…and unfortunately, this is time that I did not have, as blogging isn’t my day job, as much as i would love it to be!

I must say i am loving life as a parent and am delighted to have a little helper who seems to love helping me clean my car!

Below is a picture of little Jasmine, eager to help with the detailing.

As Jasmine is starting to get a little older now, things are starting to settle down somewhat, so I hopefully will have some time to spare for my blog over the coming months….although I’m not sure how long the TT will last, as you can imagine it is not the most practical family car! 

Gearbox Issues

Just when I thought I was about to start getting more time back, I was struck with some nasty issues with the DSG gearbox in the TT which eventually required a rebuild by a specialist in Ireland. The diagnosis and the repair of the gearbox took forever ( the gearbox was in and out of the car 3 times during the whole process!) which left me without a car for over 8 months!

As I didn’t have my beloved TT to test detailing products on, it meant that the potential content for the blog took a massive hit.

Thankfully the Issues with the gearbox finally got sorted and I recently got it back and running better than ever. I even made it to one of my favourite local events a number of weeks back

Looking Ahead

As I mentioned earlier, now that I have some time(and my car) back I am hoping to dedicate some more time to both testing new products and providing more regular updates on here. There a lot of new product releases from some of the bigger detailing brands that i am eager to get my hands on when they are released, so you can be sure i will be providing my verdict on them as soon as I test them.

Recently MJJC sent me their newly released snow foam product, which I plan on testing over the next few days, so watch this space for that post. Will be interesting to see how it stacks up against my favourite Bilt Hamber foam.
